Who Made This?
Aplat is a culinary design company that makes products centered around sharing food, wine and flowers. Their products are for people and the planet, changing the way we live at home and changing the way our industry manufactures.
Aplat manufactures locally in California utilizing origami principles to build volume through folds. This design approach helps reduce pre-consumer textile waste on the planet, and inspires people to reduce the use of non-renewable plastic and elastic in their kitchen.
Aplat was created by Shu, an Asian American industrial designer from San Francisco. We are privileged to partner with her as part of our initiative to champion minority women designers in the form of collaborations.
